A day out at Flying Legends 2014.

I thought I'd start this thread and post a few of the pictures taken by myself and SWMBO at Duxford. It won't be that many unless you want to see pictures of the sky, maybe with a tail plane disappearing out of one side, or pictures of the sky with barely discernible objects that might be aircraft in one corner !

I started on terra firma with a walk down the flight line. A Spitfire fans idea of Nirvana, all under beautiful summer skies .

    More, not Spitfires, to come.

    Cheers

    Steve

It's a fiver well spent. I'm always looking to kill time profitably before the flying starts and I've been around the museums many times.

          Cheers

A few more from the flight line. Evidence of one of the two heavy showers we had, luckily before the flying started. All of these flew later.

You can play the what is it game, though they are not exactly difficult

            Cheers

Re-enactors Polux. An odd bunch but they do take it very seriously and invest a lot of time and money in getting everything as authentic as possible. They give their time for free to add a touch of period authenticity, as the 'paratrooper' posing with the L4.

                    Cheers

Great shots Steve. Had much the same line up of Spits at Biggin Hill 4 years ago. The American fighters look great too, A clutch of Mustangs to rival the Spits for cool.

                              Cheers

Ps. You should see the war re enactors at the War & Peace show - full on battles with some great vehicles.
