    If space wasn't an issue

what aircraft would like manufacturers to build in a large scale that they don't do now ?

I would love to build a 1/24 sopwith camel or a Fokker D , all that rigging and engine showing would be fantastic IMO

I would like to build some WWI planes at large scale, bigger than 1/24...

With wood, metal and other original materials...no plastic!!

If I don't build the ship, I have my eye (since December aprox..) on the Bleriot at scale 1/12

Just outside York, with time to spare, I visited a museum of aircraft. On the road to Hull just on the very outskirts of York.

They were a group who were building full size aircraft models. They were using all materials they could find under the sun.

For bits which stuck out plastic bottles of all shapes and sizes were used to bits of this bits of that. Household implements. You would not know as they just looked authentic. It was only the builders themselves who pointed out and explained how they had gone about it and what they had used. Cardboard, lino. Remarkable.

This was probably over 10 years ago so not sure if the place is still there. On the right hand side on the main road out of York. A collection of warehouse places. It was all signposted.

I'd like a 1/48 Stirling,Manchester,Whitley,Hampden,Blenheim,Balti more,Beaufort,Battle,Sunderland and Grumman Duck.A lot of these can be had as Vacform kits. But I really want them in modern injection mould toolings.

'Sanger' brought out a vacuform Manchester kit last year. But after building their Halifax a few years ago I'm not sure I fancy another vacform. I put it together ok.But you have to make almost everything yourself for the interior.Im not that good at scratch building.

Mr Models had a Tamiya Lancaster which was converted into a Manchester hanging from his ceiling a while back, I'll have to pop in and see him as I'm sure it was a conversion.

It's about time we had a 1/35 DC3/Dakota. Possible dios for every conflict in every part of the world from WWII onwards .....
