Hasegawa FW190 ... 1/32 (kit # 08056)

Hi there ... i purchased this model today and on opening the box at home found that there are no plans in the box [ATTACH]96692.IPB[/ATTACH]

.... a couple of questions:
are there any web sites that have plans that can be downloaded?

does anyone know what version this FW190 is?

Looking at the two gun barrels and the pilot's seat seems to be an A-8....

Anyway, I'm sure Steve (Stona) will come to your rescue soon

If the stabilizer number is 410004 and under the cockpit number 23, may be the Focke Wulf FW190A-5 Walter Nowotny. The Hasegawa has the same model in Limited Edition #8224.

I think Antonio is right. The markings certainly look like Novotny's A-5.

It's the old and rather basic tooling from a while ago. You can make a decent Fw 190 out of it, but its not anywhere near as nice as the newer ones.

There's a very good chance I have an instruction sheet for this kit, though maybe not this version, I'll let you know later.

Edit: Sorry...don't seem to have them anymore

thks a lot ...checked the decal sheet and there is the stabilizer # 410004 ... oddly though whilst the 23 appears on the box art there is no decal for it .... regards lindsey

thks steve ... very informative as per usual ... appreciate you looking for the instructions .. you are right in that it is a rather basic kit so with a bit of luck i should be able to muddle my through it with a bit of common sense and google as my friend ...

According to G R Morrisson, who I would believe, Novotny had the outer wing weapons removed from this aircraft.

I'm also confused by the werknummer 410004 which is not a Focke-Wulf number. It might be 470004, which makes the aircraft one of the first Arado built A-6s

Fw 190A-6 of I./JG 54 (Werk Nr 410004) of Walter Nowotny.

Major Walter "Nowi" Nowotny (7 December 1920 – 8 November 1944) was an Austrian-born German fighter ace of World War II. He is credited with 258 aerial victories in 442 combat missions. Nowotny achieved 255 of these victories on the Eastern Front and three while flying one of the first jet fighters, the Messerschmitt Me 262, in the Defense of the Reich.

And this when i searched 470004 ....

from your findings it looks like the decals sheet is incorrect and should be 470004
