Need Help With JU87B Stuka

Morning everyone.
I need help with the interior of my Junkers JU87B Stuka that I am building in the Vintage Airfix GB. I have attached a photo of the interior which clearly shows two seats, one at the front for the pilot and what looks like a wire type seat for the rear gunner. For the life of me I cannot find any reference pictures that show the seat harness/belt arrangement for this aircraft. I dont know where the anchor points would be as I assume both occupants would be belted in.
Does anyone have any reference pictures they can post that can help me.
Also any colour pictures of the Stuka engine with pipe work would be of benefit as I am not too happy with the colors suggested in the model instructions. Thanks everyone.

IIRC the Squadron Signal book on the JU87 is an excellent resource, or if you can get it the Airfix "Classic Aircraft and how to model them" has great references as well. HTH

Hiya Steve. From a 1940 Ju87B manual, I've had the text translated for you, but the diagram says a thousand words.




The armoured seat (Fig. 10) is pivot-mounted and can be adjusted in height when occupied. The seat is adjusted using body weight, whereby a foot lever (10), which is operated with the right foot, is depressed. A number of holes in the frame, into which a spring-loaded bolt engages when the foot lever is released, lock the seat at the various heights. The foot lever (10) can only be actuated when the release (7) has been depressed and the foot lever has been released via Bowden cable (9) and detent due to the set state of the seat. The seat can be rotated by pulling the button (8) on the front of the seat. The seat should only be turned to the left if it is facing in the direction of flight or to the right if it is facing against the direction of flight. The seat engages in both end positions. The seat is only fitted with a waist belt (3). A chest rest can be hung between the upper spars as a replacement for the shoulder harness. Both seats are designed so that seat parachutes can be used.
During take-off and landing the pilot must be seated in the direction of flight.

It looks like the 2023 instructions for engine colour for this kit aren't too far off, except for their use of Humbrol 78 as an RLM02 substitute.

Joe. Thanks for both of the above. Regarding seat harness it looks like a standard set up for the pilot but just a lap strap for the poor rear gunner chap. How they flew in any degree of comfort in that seat is beyond me. Thanks for the information on the seats and engine. Most helpful Joe.
