Hello all - new to the forum here and needed some veteran advice. I've been working on a 1/48 Monogram B-29. The kit is from 1972 and did not come with the original instructions. I have it mostly assembled. The kit comes with multiple versions you can build. However, I noticed after studying pictures that the Enola Gay did not have bubble windows and gun ports on the fuselage like I have here:

Rather the fuselage is smooth like this:

I bought a small saw to cut these ports out - pretty sure I can do that - but how do I patch them back over smooth? the patches have to be slightly curved to match the fuselage. Its too late for me to patch from the inside - the halves are already joined.
