    Live missiles or Practice missiles?

I was displaying my A10 Thunderbolt at the IPMS Birmingham show yesterday when I was asked to explain my build, apparently I have mixed live missiles with practice ones.

I couldn't explain it but said I had followed the instructions for a loadout according to Tamiya's guidelines.

So could anyone shed some light on this for me I've posted a picture for reference of my build

    Thanks

Looks like a very impressive payload Ade but I'm no rivet counter so can't help you with your question.

How come the A10 "Expert" never put you right when he picked out your glaring mistake .

It seems that you have inert/drill missiles mixed with live bombs. I don't see why they can't be mixed but I would ask why?

Thank you Rick, that must be what he was on about, he didn't actually say where they were wrong just seemed to delight in pointing it out to the other members with me.

One of the reasons I left IPMS.

              Never constructive criticism, just criticism.

              And not quietly!

You have got there a fantastic " hog" and shame on the critics as they know no better.

I hope my skills can one day make a hog as good as yours.

                    Brilliant

                    Regards

Has the guy never heard of Warthog Roulette? What a plonker Rodney

Maybe the aircraft is off to a live firing exercise but to simulate a full war load the inert ordnance is also carried to make up the weight and flying characteristics for a real life scenario. And nevermind what's under the wings, is anyone going to argue with this:

Glad the aussie IPMS and model expo and shows aren't as destructive in their criticism-your A-10 looks fine. Those little nitpicks are really annoying.

One time I entered a spit Mk VIII, and my Judge's old man was a spit MK VIII pilot, and he kindly pointed out that spit mk VIIIs never had aerials. Glad he did it in constructive criticism.

If you want to avoid it, leave IPMS like gregg did
