Not built it yet but bought one of these "Profipacks" (of a Lavochkin La-7) with the PE and masks and stuff. Looks really nice but haven't built it as I say... -
Hi Steve
Both myself and Graham built 2 different Eduard FW 190s for a group build. They are fabulous kits - you need to see both Graham's excellent FW190 diorama and my own efforts in the FW 190 A8 to judge for yourself. Personally, I thought the kit was excellent but needed careful alignment when fitting the engine and frame work to the rest of the fuselage.
Check the builds out as I'm sure your questions will be answered.
Cheers

I'd agree with Paul, they are excellent and accurate kits but they certainly don't fall together. You do have to put some work in. If you plan to display your model with the panels all closed up you will probably have to make some adjustments too.
Don't be worried about PE parts, just make sure you've got a good light and some fresh CA glue (superglue). I'd suggest getting the accelerator to help the glue go off quickly, very useful for some of the small parts.
Cheers

Hi steve, I reckon the fw190 is a good one too, judging by the excellent builds done on here last year (mentioned above) If you fancy trying something a bit smaller , and quite a bit cheaper, then the recently reboxed EDUARD il2 stormovik in 1/72 is a beauty of a kit, great details and goes together really well, and this is one i have built. I think you can get it for under a tenner now ( i paid 4.99 for mine about 3 years ago!) cheers tonyComment

Been to Hannants shop today in London. They let you open the boxes so i had a look at the Eduard FW190D11 and D13 kits .They look very good with finely engraved panel lines and good decals. If your not sure about the PE get what they call the 'Weekend edition'.These are about £13 and dont contain the PE parts.I was going to get one but had already selected £50 worth of stuff to buy.Comment
