Ever see a model take-off backwards and "prop-hang" nose down ? You can see it on video on www.maxmodel.co.uk Look for Mavel Nubel`s clip in the pilots list. Looks like it will be a good event.

Duncan I was watching this chap only last week, there are an element of people who have what is termed 'Jelly Brains' this is a compliment and nothing derogatory, they have brains that work quite differently to normal people and can achieve almost the impossible when it comes to hand/eye/spatial awareness in which they excel, needless to say they make first class model flyers as can be witnessed here.
Scientists have made studies of these people that can fly models in the most impossible situations,me or you would probably hit the ceiling ! notice how close he gets to the walls without hitting them, the response to operate the reverse pitch on the prop alone is instant, technology has really allowed these people to give their best in terms of flying the impossible. -

Jelly Brain does sound insulting. Are they super-human or is it hours of practise I wonder ? Amazing flying, instant reactions. I meant to say he is coming to the UK for a new model event at Wroughton (22nd & 23rd July) as you see in the web page. Lots of biggies and jets too.Comment

amazing stuff, although in my personal opinon he is not as skilled as the one we saw the other week....the one with the ribons attached that he "jettisoned" half way through.Comment

Absolutely unbelievable. Most of what he does defies the laws of physics I was taught at school!!
As for jelly-brain, I get one of them every time I try to discuss anything logical with Annette!!!Comment

The one maneuver I want to see them do is a simple full circuit of the hall in "reverse gear" ie tail first. Should tax their jellies with that big fin up front.Comment
