    Aaaaarrrgggghhhhh nnnoooo

Made huge boo boo I was polishing a couple of canopies a FW190 A8 1\48 and 1/35 Hurricane cos they had lost their shine, So I read somewhere you can use car window cleaner to polish canopies.

Found a bottle of car window polish in my garage and went to work first one polished up lovely started on the next and noticed the first had gone a milky white??!!!!! picked it up and it just fell apart between my fingers followed by the Hurricanes canopy.

The last time I saw a reaction like this was when I was working at dysons mould shop and we had a special spray that would break down pollycarb bins when they got stuck on the mould.

Lesson learned, don't use car products without trying it on a spare piece.

You can use some automotive plastic polishes like those used to restore/maintain headlamp covers. Or you can use toothpaste.
