Richard,a better place to be to see all of the aircraft when they are at this event but resting in the evenings is Wing Farm,at a place called 'something'? Deverall, they make a township to feed and look after the pilots.

How does Red Bull make all of this pay for itself ? they have many aviation connections including owning several rare aircraft including a DC-6 and sponsor the only airworthy Sea Vixen.

And what exactly is Red Bull ? someone told me it is made from cows guts with quinnine ?

For such a big undertaking there is very little publicity about the actual events,it is a strange set up for sure ? I cannot understand their reluctance to not advertise these events whilst they spend mega bucks to pay for them ?

they do advertise on tv when it gets closer to the date.

off the top of my head red bull is made of glucose, carbonated water, caffine...a few other bits and (this is where your friend got mixed up) torrine (now think of it, latin, star sign for end of april/may....taurus) its something from bulls genitalia!

        but hey it tastes nice!

i think it tastes gross, but i suppose there are thousands of teenagers busy drinking this muck with vodka every weekend.... - thats where the revenue comes from !!!

but the air race may be cool, will see if i am off that weekend may take my son to see it, i saw them doing an air race along the river in prague !

            madness !

Its all to do with their advertising slogan..."Red Bull gives you wings"

Years back it was the booze industries attempt at getting kids off illegal drugs and also an alternative for the non drinkers that were abundant in the clubs at the time. It never really worked on its own more of a placebo effect...so soon enough they changed attack ...hence the Vodka red Bull Happy hour! I cannot think of better thing to ruin a good vodka.

                Yes i can..Urine....

                No...changed my mind....

                Red Bull tastes worse.

So you could say that this stuff reaches the parts that other drinks do not ? thanks for all of the explanations, funny how the images of these things conjure up odd pictures of bulls being rounded up and made into drinks,I had one of those quinnine laced drinks from a can once,it made me feel so odd, never again.

They had problems in the London marathon once with people drinking free samples of something similar, they just kept keeling over even experienced runners !

I think that it is best to stick to my favourite Merrydown Cider, very mellow.

Red Bull is a fizzy drink that taste a bit like Dr.Pepper combined with oblas oil!

Its a very high caffine rich "booster" drink. The reason kids and ravers like them is due to the high taurine content. Taurine is VERY similar to caffine and pysically effects you in the same way!

Thus drinking one red bull can is the same as 3 or 4 coffees or a crate of coke!

                    Dirty tramp juice...

tickets for the air race are free by the way but you have to get them quick as they go quite fast.

I once had Caffine poisoning, never drank coffee since, you just do not realise what this stuff can do to your body,I suppose it affects some people more than others ?

Thanks for the explanation on Red Bull Squiff, lets hope the pilots dont drink this stuff ?
