    Handley Page Victor Photos?

    Howdy Guys,

I just got the reissued matchbox 1:72 Handley Page Victor and have been looking on the net for photos of the real thing when I remembered that I now KNow alot of people in the UK lol.

I dont reckon any of you would happen to be close to an airbase or have any photos of one would ya?

I found some on the net, but, I understand these aircraft were still in use in the gulf war, I am wondering if their paint scheme looks any better than this model I found on this link: http://hsfeatures.com/features04/victorjf_1.htm

    heres the model photo:

This is the color scheme I may end up using anyway, this model looks great!

Anyway, thanks in advance for your help, I am probably going to start on the preliminary work tomorrow am...internal painting, primer of all parts etc.

Btw , this is the exact model I bought.

    Have a good evening,

    Greg aka GW

      Thanks RJ,

I looked thru google and all I found other than the camo scheme I showed was an all Tan, and I didnt like it, I was hoping they might have had a desert camo since they were in the gulf war.

Maybe squiffy will see this post and reply.

Thanks again mate! < gadzooks I been round' you brits too long already! lol

      Have a good evening,

Here's a couple of shots of the one at the Yorkshire Air Museum. Not brilliant but they may help a bit.

          Howdy Guys,

Thanks for the Photos, but now, the more I look at the green and grey camo version the more and more I like it.

Wa the Victor the UK's answer to the American B 52? Used to, model kits came with a little bit of the aircrafts history, now a days all you get is something scribbled in Chinese.

I will wait to see if squiffy has any more photos but the green and gray is looking really good.

          have a good day,

          Greg aka GW

green and grey is too american (no offence) the dark tan and blueish grey are its original colours.

squiffy had no time to look around this weekend but he may have pics from another time!

              Thanks RJ,

I will see if I can come up with those colors here in town, if not, I may have to get them out of town. (We have a limited selection of colors here in my town).

              Appreciate your help.
