What's the best kit for a 1/48 Hurricane?

I've had a pretty limited experience when it comes to kit manufacturers as I've mainly only built a few Tamiya kits. I have had the occasional starter kit from Revell and Airfix in 1/72 and found some of them lacking quality, but then they where only about £7. I take it their more premium kits would be better right? I had a look today at Revells H111 and the Airfix Seafire and they both looked good in the box.

I'm looking to buy a Hurricane in 1/48th scale to compliment my current build of a 1/48th Tamiya Spitfire MkVb but I'm looking for quality of detail and fit of parts.

Can anyone recommend a kit for me?

    Thanks, Colin

The airfix hurri is a basic kit with raised panel lines and some fit issues. Also the three canopys i've had replaced by airfix for the kit i have have all been useless and badly molded. Saying that it's an easy kit to make and builds up ok. I would personally get a Hasegawa one if you can.

Agreed, without doubt, the Hasegawa Hurricanes are far superior to the Airfix, but they are very expensive. Another alternative is Ark, but these kits are not supposed to be very good so I've read. Check out ebay...

I've heard about the Ark kits too. They are ment to look great but build like a pig. Also there is some debate over if they are a copy of certain kits and thrown together.
