    Canopy Filters...

    Yep!

    Sometime ago, a member (don't remember who) posted a jet with the canopy painted in transparent yellow.

    I'm looking for a similar effect....

    Someone know's if there is a specific paint for this job....or I have to try a filter...and see what happens :confused;

    A tinted varnish can work??

    Regards

      Hi Polux, I have posted on this subject a few times, I use a very thinned down Tamiya paint and airbrush (mist) the inner surface of the canopy. Little is better than more. You are better stopping when you think you have not sprayed it dark enough, leave it for a couple of minutes and come back to it to check. The F-16 have a gold tint canopy, I have used this method on tinted smoked glass and blue tint with good effect. Good luck. Derek

          Hi Derek.

          It works...? The normal acrylic paint sticks on the canopy (without a primer, (of course))?

          Mmmm...I will try!! Thanks!!

          Errhhhh....I suppose thinned with water, not? Some thinners can damage the canopy

            Do it after you dip the canopy in Klear, and let it cure at least overnight. I use the Tamiya thinner. Derek

                Mix Klear and Tamiya Clear Yellow and dip the canopy?
