    Landing light cover dilemma

    Please help.

I was dry fitting the clear landing light cover on my 1:72 Junkers 87 and it fell inside the wing.

    It's jammed inside !!!!!!!

    AAAAAAAAaaagggggggg, what can i do.

I've tried jiggerling it out and using a piece of bent wire to hook it out but no joy.

    Any ideas gratefully recieved.

p.s. what would be a good way of holding such small parts so same dosen't happen again.

Tony, short of cutting the wing open on a joint I would sugest you make a new one from flat clear plastic sheet. Some fast food containers work well for this.

Heat it upand when soft form it over the wing leading edge.

When it cools it should retain the shape and you can then cut to shape.

PS. next time put it on a toothpick with some bluetack LOL!

      Thanks for that Theuns.

Gonna use the toothpick tip next time.

And after much jiggering the cover reappeared.

Was soooo happy, did a jig (lol)

If you loose a clear lens again you could use what I have used in the past it is Lock tight 2 part epoxy and it dries completely clear and after 2 minutes you an shape it before it hardens. I use it ion dials and it is perfectly clear and looks like a real lense.
