    Tamiya Mk1 Spitfire

    Hi i am trying to find the colour of a tamiya paint and cannot locate it anywhere its for the pilots life jacket on the Tamiya 1/48 Mk1 Spitfire it states Tamiya X-49 i cannot find it anywhere ? [ATTACH]310301[/ATTACH]

    Hi Gavin and welcome to the forum.
    On my paint converter other options are:-
    Humbrol 026 Khaki Matt
    Revell Aqua 36186 Olive brown
    Vallejo 70879 Green Brown
    I hope this helps.

      Think the color on the instructions is possibly a printing error.

      X-49 is NATO Green, I can email the color chart that shows this to you!! :smiling2:

      As Ian says above -

      XF-49 is Khaki - more akin to the colors of wartime life jackets.

        Or, don't worry about an exact conversion and search for a picture, and mix your own colour.

        Which Paul managed to do before I did.

          I always tend to go with yellow with a hint of brown mixed in cant really go wrong with life jackets so i wouldnt worry too much about getting the exact colour
