Simply write direct to the publicity department at Emirates, they often commission scores of small airliner models and can direct you towards a supplier, there is another company that used to advertise in a magazine called 'Airliner' with loads of limited run decals, but I cannot think of the companies name at present ? write the old snailmail way first direct, you could be in for a pleasant surprise.

      Howdy Brendon,

You might try looking here: http://www.drawdecal.com/whatsnew.htm for decals or you might try contacting another company, here in the US at :

http://www.squadron.com/Contact.htm simply click the above link, and either email, write a letter to or call the company (phone numbers provided) and ask them if they can get you decals that you want.

      I hope this helps,

      Greg

        Hi Brendon,

Custom Decals certainly seems to be a popular topic this month, this is the 2nd such thread I have replied to on this subject today !!

Another way to do it is take the plunge and make your own, not as difficult as you may think, especially with computers and printers these days.

I remember doing this years ago (long before home pc's were available) My Ex Boss's Wife flew to Australia to see family out there. The First time she had ever flown or been abroad and she wanted something to remember the trip by.

She had flown there on a Singapore Airlines 747.....she also knew I was a modelmaker. She asked me if I could do a 747 in Singapore Airlines Markings....So I accepted the challenge.

She bought the Airfix 747 Kit and gave it to me to get on with. The Kit itself then was only available in Lufthansa, British Airways or Air France Markings. (which I was aware of at the time....hence the challenge !)

So I built the kit and made my own waterslide decals by hand, with all the Singapore Airlines Markings. The Model came out superb and My Ex Boss's wife was chuffed to bits with it.

Admittedly some markings will be harder than others...thats where the computer comes in handy..!!

Having seen the Emirates Markings & Colours, these look quite easy, you could paint the stripes on the Tail Fin. The lettering & other logos can be done on computer quite easily and scaled to the size you require.

Good Luck and I hope the pic is of use to you.

        Regards........Mark.

          Hello, Me Again !!

Since my last post, I have found an excellent resource with just the pics you are looking for:

www.airliners.net (You don't have to register) Just go to the Photo search page and then use

the first 2 boxes in the search list. Select Airbus A380 from the drop down list and then in the next box choose your airline.

You will Find several very nice large photos of the A380 in full Singapore Airlines Colours and of course, Emirates too.

There are one or 2 other airlines in there as well that have ordered the A380 so you find some pics with either partial markings or full Colours.

There are some fantastic photos in here, some really nice ones with the Emirates A380 too.

You will probably notice that all the Airbus A380 Pics have French registration numbers but they will of course change when the planes are delivered to their respective Owners.

The pics can be right clicked and saved to your computer in the usual way too....(Open them first and then do it)

A fantastic resource giving plenty of scope to really personalise any model aircraft you are doing.

          Regards......Mark.

I am trying to do my decals as well for the 1/72 Airbus A320 in the clickair colours, although I have finished the main artwork I still need to scale up to the model and change some colours
