    DC-4 landing gear detail, Please!!

Hello my friends. I am looking for detailed drawings and/or photographs of the Douglas DC-4/C-54 landing gear for a wooden model I am preparing. Can anybody please tell me where can I find information? I appreciate your help

Here’s a photo of a set of 1/72 scale detail parts:

    Maybe that helps?

Thank you very much. Perhaps it will. I'll send the photo to the DC-4 designer. He wants a highly detailed card model.

I found it difficult to find photos of the landing gear on the real plane — the model parts were about the best that came up. You could, I suppose, buy a set and copy them in the material you’ll be using.

You are right. Not easy to find DC-4 landing gear photos. Not a bad idea purchase the landing gear kit which seems very accurate. Thanks again!!

Many of those aren’t DC-4s, though, because of Google’s annoying (usually) habit of trying to guess what you really meant. Also, Google isn’t guaranteed to show the same images (or pages) to everyone who does the exact same search, so linking to a search page won’t necessarily give the images you linked there for

It won't even give the same results every time Jakko, but there are plenty of photos of DC4/54 undercarriage there, as well as links to walkarounds.

Thank you very, very much for all the information and photos you have provided. I am really grateful and I'm sure that the card model designer will benefit from all information. As soon as I have the model ready, I will share it with you, my friends.

If I need anything else, I will tale the liberty of asking for your help.

                    Regards,
                    EDUARDO

To avoid receiving more spam than you already get, I would urge you to remove that e-mail address from the message above and send it in a private message to Theuns (click on his name in blue and then on “Start conversation”).

But you can download all the images from his message: for the attachments, click on them and then at the top right of the screen, choose the downward arrow with a line under it (just next to the cross). For the others, right-click and choose “Download” from the menu that appears, or click and hold on the image, drag it to your desktop, and then let go of the mouse button (this last bit may not work under Windows — works fine on a Mac, though).
