Best Hurricane I model in 1/48?

Title says it all really - there are lots of 1/48 Hurricane Is out there; which would you recommend (or recommend avoiding)?

FWIW, I'm looking to model an aircraft of 302 (Polish) Squadron at Duxford, September 1940, as part of Douglas Bader's Big Wing.

The Hasegawa one is very nice but they've stopped making it now and it commands a high price on evilbay. The Airfix one is very dated and has raised panel lines. The new Italeri one looks excellent and has just been built by Ian M on the forum

Ooh, that does look nice. It's a bit pricey compared with the Airfix but by the look of it that includes PE parts and a good reference guide. Maybe it'll go on the Christmas list.

The New tooled one from Italeri is very good indeed. Builds up well with no drama and the detail is great. The Old Airfix is also a good one. As Allyne said, a bit dated but still builds into a good Hurricane.

Looking at the parts in the Italeri one I could imagine that there will be a few others turning up at some point. Hope they do a Sea Hurricane and a MkII !!

Thanks for the plug Allyne, (saves me doing it lol ) If you want to see the finished results the photos are here http://www.scale-models.co.uk/aircraft-pictures/14057-w-mcknights-hurricane-finished-pictures.html
