    Microsol/Microset on clear canopies

If the canopy was coated with Future/Klear, I would have thought it would make no difference.

Even if the canopy is not coated I doubt it will effect it.

Are you sure you need to use Microsol/set? The canopy is likely to be very glossy in the first place. Will the canopy lay over an uneven surface or ridge? If not, unless they are really thick rubbish decals, you may not even need Microsol/set.

What you making by the way?

      Hi

Just making a Panda X-35B, I wanted some Microsol/set and could only find Hannants with it and they only send liquids with kits so I bought the cheapest kit I could find that I wanted to make, only my second since returning to modelling, have made many mistakes but have managed to resolve them, got the model all painted and started to put the decals on, the decals were so brittle that they have all cracked and fallen apart in the water! It will now be a model wearing some spare decals of how it might look if it entered service in the royal navy as a Harrier replacement(which I know it is supposed to do at some point in the future) just so it does not go to waste.

Hannants have a superb range, but you don't have to go there for your mail order stuff. I can particularly recommend SBX models who will send out any paint order without you having to buy a model. Free postage too! Their website is: http://www.sbxmodelshop.co.uk/default.htm

Or you can always try fellow website member Squiffythewombat's shop: http://www.semodels.com/

Don't forget to post pics when you're done.

They only send liquids with kits!!!!!...and then you get a kit with decals that fall apart!!!!!!

Move on, they don't deserve to be in business.

That sure is a strange retailing practise ? not sure that I can see the point in that ? there are plenty of internet based shops who supply paint on its own, including our own Squiffy here,SEM Models.

I honestly do not know how companies can dictate in this way.
