    1/48 scale EA-6B question

    Hey guys,

do a lot of miniature stuff (fantasy and sci fi) and now getting back into real world military builds. I would like to set this Prowler up ready for a Cat shot but need to reposition the flaps and airbrakes. I am wondering if this kit would benefit more from an aftermarket kit as it seems there are more mechanics involved with the Prowlers flaps as shown below

I havent started scratchbuilding yet and this seems like it might be a little tougher that just a cut and bend type situation... any thoughts

    Hi,

In this months Model Aircraft there is an article on the A6 Intruder on which the Prowler is based with some good shots of gear such as the deceleron air breaks and a pre-launch shot just how well these shots will blow up I can't say since my printer is on it's back with legs thrashing in the air, more exspence.Hope this helps.

    Cheers sharowjohn.

Hi inquisitor , welcome to the forum. To do the flaps and slats in the deployed position is definitely more than just a cut and bend job, luckily you can get an aftermarket set for about ยฃ15, heres a link 1/48 Resin Detail Sets hope this helps , cheers tony
