    F-35 crash in Texas, pilot ejected safely

    An F-35B Lightning II fighter jet crashed during a vertical landing at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth, Texas, on Thursday.

        Reminds me of the Japan Airlines DC8-62 that landed in the San Francisco Bay back in 1968........bad press for JAL but job security for the Maintenance Dept. at United Airlines, where it was made completely airworthy again. :thumb2:

          The price ticket on those F35 thingies should be a GT in itself that the wheels will not fall off. Glad the pilot is OK.

            and the cost of that single aircraft could have paid for every home in the uk to have its heating on this winter..........................or gave every nurse a proper bonus for what they did during the pandemic

                Just watched the video of this, the ejection was probably the bit the pilot was most at risk.......
