    Wellington at RAF Cosford Museum

    Hello Chaps,

For anyone interested here is a link to my local newspapers report of the imminent opening of a new Bomber Command display at Cosford.

I’m really looking forward to seeing the Wellington :smiling4:

    Geoff.

I saw this on the news, Geoff. I'm not far from Cosford so look forward to a visit in the near future.

I thought that Wellington was destined for some museum down south somewhere once the restoration was finished. Be nice if it's still at Cosford for the show next year.

I thought it was intended to move it to Duxford.

I just love the dedication these guys give to preserve our past. Like all war machines, they are knocked out in days and weeks. Yet now, dedicated teams of volunteers spend every spare moment bringing wrecks back from the abyss spanning years and sometimes decades.. Not just planes but tanks and all sorts. Absolutely brilliant.
