    Hobbycraft LA-5 completed photos

    Backonthecase is back.....on the case.....!!:dancing1:

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted on here, so I thought I'd share my latest build. It's the hobbycraft LA-5 in 1:48. It's pretty basic, detail wise, but it's an easy build and falls together.

And my next project, awaiting my first shot at NMF!

    Comments welcome.

Very cool little plane! Although i must admit that hobbycraft scares the hell out of me after attempting their classic flying Banana-DO17! My wife bought me the AVG tigers P-40 and I'm kinda nervous. You say that the kit was pretty good with fit? Thats good news. Anyway, I'm in the same position as yourself and will start back posting more often. Take care and great build! Jeff

Yeah it pretty much fell together. The underside wingroot-fuselage rear joint was the only place I needed filler. That plus a little touch in front of the canopy. Otherwise it was good! I'd recommend aftermarket decals, gear bays and cockpit if possible, they were spartan to say the least!!! Although the instrument panel was really nice!!!

I also have the hobbycraft F-117 but what can POSSIBLY go wrong with that....?

      Glad you like.

Great workmanship Stuart,Hobbycraft kits just need that little bit extra attention as you find out during the build process.

Yeah it's decent enough but needs a bit of gentle persuation some times. The challenge is half the fun!!

I built a hobbycraft kit a while back and it didn't turn out to well. I ended up custom making a few parts to get it to fit right icknose::sobbing::nonono:

Lets just say, i wont be builtfing one of those ever again =P
