Paul very little organised sites,as you know its the problem with a revovery boat if you fly alone,Billing is the only regular place to fly your seaplanes and flying boats.

I have flown from Wyken slough between Bulkington and Coventry but the access is very poor and means a long walk, also trees are a problem if you have a model that does not have a good climbout.

Best to do what Don Stothers did, hire a light aircraft and see what you can find from the air, then investigate by road/foot.

There are stretches of water near Hinckley that were used by Dick Wallinger of Midland helicopters to test the Robbe range ( their Aerocommander makes a good flying boat !) but you would have to contact him to find out more.
