    Aircraft Shading

    Hi

could anyone give me some advice on how to do this with a paint brush as i dont have an airbrush, ive seen it done by airbrush (dark paint on panel lines and lighter colour over the top) but is it the same principle with just a brush

    many thanks for the help:thinking:

It can not be done without the airbrush.

The paint layer will be too thick, and will cover the preshading completely.

What you will end up with is the surface without shading. Additionally the extra layer of paint will obscure your detail.

Get yourself the airbrush- these days they go cheap.

What you can do though is to try and use the pigments, or oils after you apply the base color.

This will break the otherwise dull, even paint color, and make it more interesting.
