    Beriev Be-6

Turns out the half finished model of a Martin Mariner is in fact an old VEB/Playcraft kit of the Beriev Be-6..!!

If anyone has any info/decals for one of these,, let me know..

    Thanks,, Mark

    Hi Mark,

A very nice looking model all the same and an unusual subject too. I hope this one will be finished off.

I would imagine a google search will throw some results up for you with some markings. You could always print your own decals if need be. It is not as daunting or as difficult as you think. Having done this a few times myself now, it is quite rewarding too !!

    Regards........Mark

Cheers,, I'm aiming to finish it..I'll stick a couple of photos on SM when done..before that I'm doing the two display Hawks we had this season...looking forward to those.!!

Always wanted to do my own decals..although I may need a better printer.!!!

Love the R/C cars in ya pics, are they 1/8th I/C or electric..???

      cheers...Mark

hi deuce, theres not much info on the be 6 either(like the mariner) Its still a very interesting and unique looking plane though. As for markings and painting, usually russian aircraft of this time were pretty simple-not much in the way of stencils etc-just stars in 6 positions and a bort number.for this plane they were above and below the wings and on the outside of the tails, the number being behind the wing on the fuselage. The colour looks to have been a light sea grey sides and top and a light blue grey underneath. If you go on wings palette website theres about twelve colour profiles to look at, I dont know the exact web address but if you google it im sure youll get there.the other advantage of the simple markings is you should be able to get standard russian stars and numbers most anywhere. good luck with the quest! cheers tony
