The Master Detail RAF pilot is on his way.Total price with postage £10.52.

Big up to Gladiator for that.

Slow progress being made on the euro build once the large lumps are attached it may be easier to asses the next stages.

The instructions call for the fuselage to be attached to the wings, in following this way there is no access to the inside.

However Ive noticed that the fit of the fuselage to the wings is by a distinct latch in the sides and provides a good fit surprisingly good fit although i have not cemented the front section of the fuselage so i can also click in the cockpit floor so for the mo Im going to attack things with the fuselage separate from the wings giving me more access all round and in theory will be an easy job just to click the fusalege to the wings , with a bit of after attention .Well thats the theory anyways and if the theory holds up it will aid the spraying and minimize the masking off.

For the moment its assesing if any filling is necessary and then subsequent sanding ,but it looks like that any filling will be absolutely minimal.

a few pics to be going on with i find it a good policy to take pics as you go along because away from the build you can relax and study the pics for your own purpose on your pc screen .

The kit provides for a number of options it is my intention to have wheels down .fuel line in ,cockpit open, air brake down.Of course that may change as we see how it all goes together.

      Wotcha Ugly

No worries on the pilot thing. I was trying to find a WW2 crew for my Swordfish when I found the website. Unfortunately they didn't have what I wanted so went for three really nice photo etched harnesses instead. Watching this build with great interest, somewhat jealous of your purchase but it's great to see how the build progresses, with a heads up of any problems, successes, scratch building or 3rd party purchases. Heh, you mention it's been slow going, mine's been even slower and whenever I do have a go, things keep breaking in my hands... oh well. Good luck with the Typhie!

      Take care,

      Chris

          Hi Ugly6

He looks like a jolly spiffing confident pilot? What what!

I believe the resin kits can be super detailed, so hope your happy with the purchase, and I think he will look good against a Typhie background. Nice one mate.

          Tally ho

The progress is slow as we chip away at each sub assembly

It is also a big lump of plastic to have in your hand as you try to find a hand hold whilst trying examine it

            however

            onward and upward

Gladiator yes Im really pleased with the man

Ive seen other 1/32 eurofighters on other sites finished,,,,, how they achieved that in the time, that I ll never know ,it only came out at christmas.

              However

still ever more slowly we begin to eat away at the subassembly mountain.

I very much doubt that barley grey is the right colour for a eurofighter I believe its too dark

so having bought some im going to lighten it by adding 50% barley grey and 50% white

I havnt seen a picture of a Eurofighter which is dark grey anybody got a pic to prove me wrong?

                SLow slow quick quick slow

progrees is painfully slow no particular reason just is

I guess im just taking my time (hope that pays in the end)

I used correction fluid to fill in the gaps between the wings and fusalage with mixed results.LIke any filler if you put to much on you have to take it orf.

I got to such apoint i decided to blank it all out with alclad primer so i could examine it a bit better it is imperative to leave now for 24 hours.

I fancied one of those storm shadows untill i saw the price of them so I thought i would have a go at making one with milliput cant be that hard can it from little acorns

Modelling is not a race Ugly, you do it whatever speed you feel like. Have to say it is starting to look quite impressive. Take your time and keep us updated.

                    Cheers

I knocked up a crude storm shadow using milliput as the photo above shows for some reason the milliput didnt go hard in the middle ,so I had a great idea to put it in the microwave to harden the milliput.

Unfortunately a 30 sec burn ruptured the body and split it along its length.DO NOT COPY THIS!!It will end in tears

Scrapped almost a whole packet of milliput.

                      Mark 2

I still want a storm shadow so Iive invested in a pak of balsa wood and as we speak Iam shaping a new storm shadow..

does anyone know of a link to a site that shows the dimensions of a storm shadow I dont seem to be able to locate exact dimensions

3m must be the "wingspan." The body would only be about 1m wide but this is something I know nothing about!

the mark 2 made out of balsa wood once the glue sets hard, ill be able to refine a bit of detail ,fill up the gaps with correction fliud,,undercoat ,it will look just fine
