    Magazine subscriptions?

    hi,

What's the most popular/best magazine to cater for plastic aircraft kit modelling? Model Airplane International looks pretty good and am tempted to subsribe to it.. any thoughts?

    cheers

I think magazines are quite personal. I tend not to suggest as what I find interesting you may not. For me, I would look at magazines that cover a wide range of subjects as I do not have a particular interest in any one modelling type. Sometimes you see something in general mags like Military Modeller that you would never have considered. However, i tend not to subscribe to any but buy the ones that look interesting on the shelves.

I'm with Graham. I do pick up the odd one particularly if I've heard of an article of interest.

thanks guys. Your replies don't surprise me really. I am not sure about committing to a subscription, that's why I posed the question really, and most likely would instead, buy the odd magazine now and again.

hi mark, i get scale aviation modeller every month but i dont subscribe , i also pick up military aircraft monthly (used to be called model aircraft monthly, dont ask me why they changed it !) if theres anything in it that takes my interest . Ive found these to be very good and aimed at everyday punters like me , and their series of datafile books are superb and reasonably priced too (no,i dont work for them!!) hope this is useful ,cheers tony
