    Dragon kits

    A shop near me is selling kits made by dragon which seem a lot cheaper than those by other manufacturers. As I'm a big believer in the adage " you get what you pay for" what are your comments please about them? Are they any good and are they value for money? Are there any particular aircraft kits in their range that are recommended, (and probably more importantly) which ones are to be avoided.

      Some of the Dragon kits are superb, some may be getting on a bit but I personally would not hesitate to get a Dragon kit especially the armour and military vehicles. Cannot speak for the aircraft as I have not actually seen one myself but I bet there are some in the builds on here.

      Also check out these reviews. Click on the "All Aircraft button, 4th from bottom on the left of the page. There are quite a few Dragon aircraft from 1/144, 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32

          I've not made any Dragon aircraft kits but their armour are very detailed & usually good value for money. The instructions often leave a lot to be desired so I would recommend doing a lot of dry-fitting of the parts if you decide to buy any of the kits.
