    Painting spinners test

I've seen a couple of members mention how hard it is to apply spinner decals. I have a theory that maybe someone could test?

Could you mount the spinner on a rod and put it in a Dremel on SLOW, then touch a loaded brush on to it and move the brush straight down? It's a technique I have used on a lathe while woodworking, would it transfer to modelling?

I have no aircraft models, anyone brave enough to give it a try?

It might work. I always beat the decals into submission, usually with repeated applications of microsol over several days. Another technique, at which I have failed miserably, is to paint the spinner white, mask the spiral and then spray black. Sounds simple doesn't it.

    Cheers
