Need assistance with documentation for F2H's and F3H's

    Hello,

I build 1/48 US Navy aircraft (if at all possible and available) and 1/72 US Navy aircraft (when no 1/48 kits are available). My current project is building one of each of the major variants of the F2H-2 and -3 Banshee and ditto for the F3H-1,-2M,-2N and -G Demon. I have five of the old Hawk/Testors Banshee kits and five of the Grand Phoenix Demon kits. Needless to say I can't afford the Collect Aire kits.

My major problem with the Banshees are the nearly total lack of information. The only thing I've got is the Squadron/Signal book. Does anyone know of any other books/sources that would be of use? I need just about everything: images of wheel wells, landing gear, cockpits, panel lines, dive brakes, wing folds-the works.

Also, Does any one think it's possible to convert an F2H-2 to a -3 and -3P? Again, I really don't have much data to go on.

My major problems with the Demons are the wing folds. I haven't been able to locate any documentation for them. Otherwise everything's OK.

I'd also like to try an F3H-G...I have an old F-4 Phantom II kit that will convert nicely, and I doubt that I'll need to add wing folds...Phantom II wing folds should work.

If I can get some good images of wing folds, wheel wells, gear doors, etc, I have a friend who does custom Photo-Etching. I can do the images as vector graphics CorelDraw files (or as 1:1 full size *.jpeg files), and he can do whatever I need as 4" x 5" P-E. He is doing some wing folds for me for the Revell/Hasegawa Grumman S-2 Tracker/Trader in 1/72.

    Thanks!
