    Spad xiii

hi all i am building a revell SPAD XIII in 1/28

i need some advice on the colours to be using on it, in some photos iv seen of museum peices the under side looks a whitish blue but the instructions are saying its more of a magnolia colour/linen

    top colours are sorted already

what colour should i be looking to use in the cockpit?? wood effect of was it painted a diffent colour??

Am buying some detail sets from copper state models to jazz it up, so photo etct cockpit, resin guns and a real wood prop to finish it off

    thank you

well that was my thinking as many thins iv read hav said the underside was unpainted, just want to check.

so far all iv done is sand and fill the dam thing, the tooling is from the 60's and their is flash and injector pin marks galor

whill look to post some photos once iv got it stuck together but that could be some time as copper stae has burnt down and isnt open at the moment

      grumble grumble

I am doing an Albatros and the under wing colour on the particular model I am doing is a pale blue grey, although the box art and colour chart show it as a sky blue, not the green sky used on RAF stuff. Not far from the pale blue under the ME109. I have gone with the blue grey of Tamiya XF23 Light blue (it really is a blue grey though)

Hi Mag, this is great kit to build I really enjoyed doing it you can see my effort here revell Spad VIII. I must admit that as I am still learning about this great hobby, I stick mainly to the paint colour in the instructions on most of the models I've done and I use mainly revell aqua paints and thier enamels which can be used together which I've done many times. Good luck and I'm looking forward to seeing your model especially with the enhanced parts you are going to do.
