    My Grandads collection :)

I was at my grandparents house yesterday and I was speaking to my grandad, a ex RAF Flight Lieutenant, actually CO of my Air Cadet squadron back in the 70's, But anyway...

We got talking about models and he showed me his 'Stash' It contained some rather large/ Old models Here are a few, sorry about the lack of pics:

    1/72 Airfix C-130 - Partially Built

1/48 Revell B1B Lancer - Un-Started, the largest kit ive seen in my life! huge! When complete it is 95 cm long!

1/24 Airfix Spitfire - Complete, Built 20 years ago, nicely hand painted

1/72 Airfix Vulcan - Un-started, Apparently 'looking forward' to this kit - i think not!

    1/48 Tamiya Lancaster - Unbuilt

And a few more that I cant remember lol

Have any of you guys built these kits? Mike

I built the Spitfire many years ago, rather badly I'm afraid. I've built the Tamiya Lancaster more recently and have one of the re-issued ones in the stash. It makes an excellent model. The B1B sounds like fun but what would you do with it? I can't imagine senior management at "Stona Towers" allowing such a thing anywhere but the loft!

    Cheers

Well i asked my g'dad what he was going to do with the B1, and he said no idea, and that he hadmt thought about where he was going to put it, and he just bough it as an impulse buy! But it only cost him £39.99, quite a bargain for something that size!

I built the 1/72 Airfix Vulcan. Have plenty of filler ready. If you have a swear box you will be able to get your next kit free after the experience.

I second Derek's comments, about the Vulcan. But it is a satisfying finish ! go on, have a go !!
