    1/48 or 1/32 Sea Fury

    Hello Guys and Girls

Sorry i haven't been on here in agggggeeeeesssss

You all know what has happened to me in the past. I need your help guys.

My Step mum left a vac form model kit on my doorstep thank you by the way.

It has no landing gear or prepellers or instructions. Where can i get some of these. Also how can you measure a kit to find out the scale. I really can't remember what Scale it is when Dad bought it. I know for a fact he wanted it for ages. So i want to do it to my best of abilities.

Its nice to see the same people on here and also loads of new people.

    Thanks

    Char

    Hi Charlotte,

Can't help with obtaining the parts I'm afraid, but I can help with the scale.

According to Wikipedia the Sea Fury is 10.6 m long. In 1/32 scale that would be 331 mm and in 1/48 it would be 221 mm. Just measure the length of the fusalage and see which of these it matches. If it doesn't match either, let me know the actual length and I'll get a scale for you.

Gern is correct with his scaling. I've just measured a 1/32 Hobbycraft Sea Fury and the length from tail to nose (excluding hook and spinner) is almost exactly 30cms. I guess his length includes the spinner. What make is the kit?
