    Brasso - BEWARE

Hi All, my wife recently bought some new Brasso, I noticed it was in a different tin, and had a really strong smell. As I use Brasso to finish polish seams removed on cockpits, I decided to try this new stuff out. Fortunately on the Sprue for my recently completed TF-104G, there were spare cockpit pieces, presumably for them that bought the F-104G. I removed the embossing which represents the metal frame, and brassoed it up as normal. It clouded over which is also normal, but when I dipped it in Klear it only partially removed the fog. From my limited test, I won't be using the new Brasso again, will look out for an old can type. Hope this helps Cheers Derek

Mmmm, why does everything have to change? The new Klear has modellers all over the world throwing themselves off cliffs and now Brasso.... What next, a white chocolate Cadbury Flake?????

    Thanks for the warning Derek
