    Classic Airframes Avro Anson

I have recently completed a Classic Airframes 1/48 Avro Anson. Unfortunately I didn't gloss varnish the fuselage sides before applying the squadron markings and registration with result that the decal film is too visible. Does anyone have an unused set of fuselage markings TVX/K8754 for this model?

I think the best way out of that problem is to buy a couple of sheets of decals from the shop.(link at top of page). Is it just the ID letters and the Serial number you need or is it the full set?

I might have a couple of "left overs" if thats the case.

How high are the letters and numbers you need. And the colours of them. Sky grey for the ID and black for the serials?

      Hi Ian,

Many thanks for you interest and advice. It's just the squadron ID letters (T-VX) and serial number (K8754) affected by the problem. Both sides, obviously.

The squadron letters are 19 mm high, sky grey. The serial number characters are 3.5 mm high, black. If I had the choice I would change the squadron letters to F-VX and registration to N4877 (to model the ex-Skyfame Anson 1 that I flew in many years ago), but beggars can't be choosers!

      Regards,

I am still looking for a solution and would be pleased to hear from anyone who has built this model using the alternative markings, so has the squadron ID letters (T-VX) and serial number (K8754) left over.

I will still keep looking. I have decals all over the place.

I have moved this to the Aircraft chat section. More people might see it there.

Hi bomberharris....do you have a real name? I have this kit un-built in my stash so the decals you need are there, I'd be happy to send you them as I think I'll most likely attempt the 269 squadron version.

P.M me your address and I'll get them to you.

If you havent sealed the decals, it might be possible to make a tiny cut in the decal, and persuade some 'Klear' behind the decal to force the air out.
