Once again this week not a lot that we can actually do to our model,the issue contains a piece of plastic beading with a slot which is for the cockpit surround,as the surround cannot be fitted yet at this stage it is best put aside.
As anticipated last week it transpires that the control cables are no more than the awful twine supplied a few weeks back to also do the internal rigging,so the search is on for some suitable material,I will probably use some fishing trace wire for this with crimps to secure the cable,no hurry on this as there are still major components to come such as the absent undercarriage assembly,next week all we get is a piece of brass tube that constitutes the main axle.On the full size,the undercarriage is dampened with bungee rubber and rides in slots within the small undercarriage lifting surface.
