    old aifix bad fit

    been starting on the load models i brought last month ,started on the paul defiant and catilina thu got admit thu not made a model for many years cant remember such bad fitting kits the pauldefiant has wing gaps like anything and the cayalina found the struts wrong scales as wings slightly out and most i have to shave to fit lol hope all airfix arint same as got loads of them to build lol

    The BPD, Halifax and Pucara are some of the worst kits still available by Airfix. They should have retired the moulds along time ago

      thks lol as got halifax to do as posted in accusitions i brought over 70 new models for £70 and most are airfix so dreading it ,mite see if trade them !!!!!!!lol

        Dont despair bat , not all airfix kits are bad. Like all manufacturers they have got their fair share of old moulds but a lot of their stuff is ok . Most of the airfix kits that were tooled around the mid seventies were very good ,ie. the strikemaster , magister, cherokee arrow , jetstream etc so have a good look at all your kits before getting rid , the old klunkers should be fairly obvious to spot !! cheers tony . p.s. i think the pucara was a rebox of a special hobby moulding allyne
