Which version of Mossie? The FBVI seems quite popular, but I quite like the glazed nose versions.

I started the Mossie, but its gonna be a long build, besides working full time I am now looking after my mom who is fighting cancer for the 2nd time in her life, so I will have an hour here and there to model on the nights.

I wanted to do the night version but thought it may look a little bland, I read some where that the best way to do an all over black scheme was to vary the shades of black ( think it was an SR 71 build , but done quote me on it )

I've come across a few kits that I think would add to my collection of WWII European collection, just wondered what you thought.

Firstly a Bucker BU181 Bestmann and then a Grumman Goose JRF-5 Flying Boat , not sure if the flying boat would have been seen over in Europe though, advice always welcomed

I know that the FAA operated the "Goose" as a trainer in the Carribean and that they were also used as VIP transports, again on the other side of the Atlantic. It was the British that gave it the name "Goose".

I'm not sure it was used in Europe. I will dig out a book that might have some info tomorrow.

The Bucker Bu 181 was the Luftwaffe's primary trainer for a large part of the war,so no trouble there!

          Cheers
