As Allyne says its a Piper J3C-65 and flies with O'briens flying circus

It's an Auster by Taylorcraft Mk vi I think superceded by the AOP9 model. This looks like a model to me . Look at the prop retaining nut very closely. Does this help>?Comment

Having worked on a few that is most defenately a Piper J-3. Most fly standard with a C-65 but here in Africa most fly on at least a C-90.
The thing on the front of the prop is actually a spun alluminium "cap or spinner that fits just over the front prop retention plate. It protects the 6 prop bolts and looks a little nicer.
