Good to hear Danny - a great bargain

I enter EVERY charity shop I go past and I have never seen a kit in there!

    Grrrr!

Im like you Aidan, can never find anything no matter how much I look...whereas, my mate just seems to attract anything he is looking for. He arrived at the door and i had the bag out his hand before he was in the living room

Thats a score an' arf mate ... bet there's over £100 of kits there ?

I've found a few models in charity shops, mainly cars though .... there was a 1/350 USS Enterprise Revel kit in Oxfam in Mussleburgh last week ... £30 .... the box was over three feet long.

didn't get it as i'm not really into ships ... having a hard enough job getting the inspiration to finish my Ark Royal dio.

Top haul danny! I love finding kits at car boots , the best i ever got was the Tamiya 1/48 mosquito for 50p!! Like many others ive never had any luck in charity shops , the only time i ever saw anything (both airfix -1/72 Martin b57 and a 1/48 BF 109 f ), when i went back they were gone! I always keep on looking though! tony

Just been informed by a friend on facebook that all the charity shops in my area, and there are loads, give first option of buying all kits handed in to the local club...Obviously a member made sure they all had contact numbers ...no wonder we cant find any in my local charity shops...although thumbs up to the club for forward planning... I cant moan about that because I have the same process running with them all for camera equipment...means I have to buy everything though, whether needed or not..

Car booties can be a gold mine for cheap models, I've found quite a few at Redcar race course bootie, but nothing that good.

What a great mate you've got.

                              Tony.
