    ME 262 UC bay question

    Hi all.

I have te Tamiya 1/48 ME 262 and the undercart bays on that seem to be open so that the bottom of the cockpit tub is visable through them.

I want to build a 1/72 Revell 262 1u two seater , but it has closed up wheel wells, yet retains the very detailed underside of the cockpit.

Would it be safe to assume it too would have had the open wheelwells?

If so it will be an easy fix to rectify.

    Thanx

The wheel wells were essentially the same on both versions as far as I can remember.

There are sort of inserts but the bottom of the cockpit tub is still visible.

    Cheers

    Steve

When I built my Me 262 I had the same problem, a lovely detailed cockpit tub and the wheel wells covered it all up.

But a drill and file sorted it all out in short order, and the detail was on show again.

I found this vieo on you tube - Me 262 SUPER DETAIL WALKAROUND Part 1/4 - YouTube - hope it helps.

      Tony.

Thanx guys, I will cut the right sections out of the little revell kit. Strange that revell Germany would get it "wrong" though !
