    Vought Kingfisher USSR Finished ???

Well, I've finally finished the 1/48 Monogram "Vought Kingfisher" ........... Decided on Russian Northern Fleet finish (Much thanks to Martin for supplying the decals). The USA gave a couple to them on Lend Lease in 1944 ............ I also decided on a bit of grime. Not sure if I've overdone it.

I really haven't enjoyed building this one as all I've had is problems with it and it seems to have dragged on forever. As a result. I'm really not too happy with how it's ended up but if we only put up piccies of the good ones then there's nothing for us to think (even privately) I can do better than that.

    .............. I have a lot to learn.

Next up ............... Tamiya 1/24 Ferrari F40 Competizione (I'm better at vehicles).

That's a good result in the end Peter. Nicely weathered. I think I will pass up any offers of buying that kit though, you had a real fight.

Sadly most of the problems were probably down to me. It seemed I was taking two steps forward and one back. For a while every time I touched the damn thing I either screwed it up or busted something. Then there was the fight with the PE. It was the first time I'd come up against it.... I really did hate that stuff.......... and in the end it just became a battle to get it finished and the more time went on I found myself thinking more than once "I think I'll just bin it". So I reckon I just had the wrong attitude for this one...... But it was not going to win.

In the final analysis I really would blame the kit........ So I'm going to take a few days before I start the F40 ........ Because I really don't want to screw that one up and I want to enjoy it.

Thank you all for your kind words.
