    Airfix and Revell Lancasters

    Hi guys and girls

Could someone please advise is it possible to put the wings of the Revell Lancaster (Dambuster) onto the Airfix kit as i wish to show the engines both kits are 1 /72 scale and will be shown with the Airfix Bomber re-supply set .

    Many thanks

    Kevin

Hi kevin welcome to the forum. I imagine its entirely possible to do the mix up of kits , you might just have to do a bit of surgery on the method of fixing . They both have a spar type of fixing system , the airfix one having the wheel wells in it , if the wells are in with the revell wing then all you would need to do is adapt the airfix spars to fit into the revell wing , just do it carefully a bit at a time ,remember - you can always cut a little more off but its much harder putting it back on!! If you did us a "under construction" thread it would be very useful for anyone else thinking about the same thing , cheers tony
