Lovely models, they'll look superb in the air. I've dabbled with RC planes but never been brave enough to commit something as superb as this to the air under my control. It was bad enough stuffing a ARTF model into a hillside after 30 seconds in the air without the added grief of hours of painstaking modelling down the drain.

I stick with boats nowadays but still drool over aircraft such as these.

Thanks Richard, i know what u mean it took me three months to get the mozzy up & 6 weeks to get the spit up once they were comleted, but once there up it was a sight to see.

Had one or two mishaps with the mozzy's retractable undercarage and had to do a belly landing but theres nothing that can't be repaired and sent up again.

        I like these John ...

Is that an actual reproduction paintjob of an actual version (model no) on the spitfire?? i know little about planes i'm afraid so excuse my ignorance.

The couple of times i had a go at fixed wing RC were disasterous .... broke them quite a bit ...my mate wasn't too happy when i rammed his into the only telegraph pole within miles

Seem to have a big issue with two channel flying things yet manage to keep a RC helicopter on an even keel and actually relax enough to enjoy the experience. I would have thought two channels (as opposed to four) would be easier for my little pea brain to take in but hey ... i think i must be wired wrong or something.

Lovely looking models, though i'm not a fan of jet model kits I love to see the RC jets fly, it's incredible hearing them on a low level fly past sounding exactly like the real thing, You can get some lovely sounding 4 strokes for the RC prop planes though, I club I used to go to when I flew the planes and Heli had a resident 'scale builder' who loved the 4 stroke motors.

Heres a video I took years ago at said club of how not to land a spitfire, the fella was mightily upset as you can imagine.

Please excuse the appalling camera work, it was form my very first camcorder which was big heavy and unwieldy, I was working with a tiny viewfinder only and tracking a dot in the sky in this manner is tricky.
