Hey Gregg you are in Jersey give a ring 482742. How did I miss that DC3.

So much happening at the moment. We have a Motor Cycle and Car racing thing. Plus a fete with all the cars and motorcycles. How do I know ? All the noise for early morning through to late night. The place is rampant with vintage stuff to present day.

Yes you are right Moni it was Friday and Saturday. Jolly noisy. It is only 440 yds from us. I can hear the remains now they must be having some sort of hill climb now. I am a cricket man so it does not do to much for me although I hope those participating and watching have a great time.

Moni ! Do you ever sleep ? You seem to have a 24 hour day. Quite remarkable.

            Hi Laurie,

Sorry only just seen your post.

It was only a very short stay as my wife had arranged the visit as a belated 65th birthday present.

She knows my love of everything WWII related, and cars/motor racing.

As she is disabled we were limited time wise, to everything I would have liked to do.

I will definitely return, as I thoroughly enjoyed wandering about in the Hills/Dunes/Undergrowth/Tunnels, then the motor extravaganza//Mansell collection.

You live on a beautiful Island with so much to feed my personal interests.

The down side was the Pub early closing timeso_Oo_Oo_O

My wife enjoys singing (she's actually very good) and the two times we managed to find anywhere with a Kareoki for her to let her hair down, they closed at 11-00pm on the Friday & 9-00pm on the Sunday.o_Oo_Oo_O Being only open Friday through to Sunday!

The Saturday we wanted to go the Opera House, unfortunately no seats were available that would allow for my wife's disabilities.

The weekday closing times appeared to be the same as the UK 30 years ago, so just spent the evenings in the hotel bar (jackets mandatory).

Will let you know the next time I visit & meet up for a drink or two!

Pleased you enjoyed yourself Gregg. May have mentioned this my mother was a Hull girl.

Not much of a pub goer so I did not know about the pubs closing time. Think the night clubs are open later but that is certainly not my scene. But I do have well over 40 restaurants within about 500 yds. Cannot be bad !

Yes there is a bonanza of things to see about the occupation and liberation of Jersey. Hope to see you if you come over again.
