    Airfix 1:32 Triumph Herald W.I.P

On to my next build of 2014. The Triumph Herald by Airfix. I Got this kit as it was the car my dad had when he was 17. He did not have a long as the main hose burst and blow the engine and as my mum at the time was carrying me he did not have the cash to fix it It still has to be one of the best looking cars from its time.

As you can see from the images there is not a lot to this kit so I thought I would try and do some scratch building on the engine. Its the first time for me doing and scratch building work so only time will tell if its any good lol.

    Wish me luck.

    Thanks Wayne.

Interesting build my mom and dad had one of these also sad thing is I remember it showing my age and as you say a nice looking car in its day will be watching nice work with the scratch building.

have you ever driven one?.........horrible thing, once bought one (a long time ago....can still remember the reg....mtv433f) to turn into a kit car, drove it for a few weeks and just couldnt bare it any longer........could have sold it a dozen times over...........classic design but horrible to drive :P

look forward to seeing how this turns out

I've looked at this kit a few times but my last experience with an airfix 1/32 car has made me think twice about getting another one so this will be good to see if it's worth buying

My Dad had a Herald when I was about 7, in exactly the colours on the Airfix box. I remember it had a sun-roof which was something of a novelty at the time. Looking forward to your build.
