    FORD ZAKSPEED CAPRI.

Opened the box on this one, all I can say is Mr Stanley & Mr Razor saw have our work cut out.

Before the Capri owners club start sending me hate mail its all for the good.

I am going to TRY & build this one as close to the original as possible.

I will cut out the bonnet & boot, if I cant get an after market engine I will try to build one.

Any help on the engine would be cool as all I can find are V6 - V8s and I need a inline 4.

The complete front end under the bonnet will need to be cut out & tube chasse made.

The list dose on & on.

I'm watching this one too. Be interested how you make some of the custom components.

Back in the eighties my mate was mad about capris I think he had just about every model in every colour he eventually brought a tr7 after his long obsession was over.i used to love looking at the enormous bonnet through the windscreen.this looks a great kit straight from the box and I'm sure with all your planned improvements this will be awesome I very much look forward to it

There are lots of people building 1/24 merlin engined aircraft that have expressed no interest in the engine maybe you can blag one of those.. A V12 Rolls powered Capri.....

Might need to beef up the front springs a bit....

Just a quick update on this one, his date for surgery is looming, bought new blades for my knife, & plenty of plasters for me.

The Red line shows where I intend to cut to sort out the body panels, there will be plenty more work to do on the underside.

I think this is going to end badly for some one.

A panel scriber is quite good for that sort of butchering. Also much kinder to fingers...

                              Let battle commence.

I have glued the sides of the spoiler onto the boot as they need to be blended in at the sides.
