ID:	1245475 So I got this in October and it’s been sitting on the floor since then so I thought it was time to start building it as is the norm. I will show you some sprue shots before the actual construction begins

This was then smoothed down primed refilled sanded re-primed then a final coat was added it’s not quite the correct colour they started as but it’s close enough and it looks a lot better than without the seam lines down the side.
    Where possible I am going to build this out of the box but there will be slight modifications required such as in the one with the pipes because you can’t have seam lines like that just looks awful I’ve also included braided hoses as the ones supplied are smooth and I don’t know about you but any car I’ve looked at any sort of hose is braided. It’s not smooth other than some radiator hoses they may be smooth. Similarly with the spark plug leads. I’m going to change the ones they’ve supplied as the ones supplied are floppy and will not lay where you need them to go so I’m gonna use solid wire with a plastic Red sheath on it to represent the spark plug leads
    What I will not be doing is cutting off any nuts or bolts on the engine and then adding acorn proper nuts and bolts because all that happened in the past is the glue.comes unstuck and they fall off in the end and you’re left with nothing and they don’t look any different to the ones that are moulded on the engine anyway

      Looking forward to this. Have always fancied a Pocher kit but SWMBO says we have to pay the mortgage off first.
      What will the completed models dimensions.

              Yes I follow Nigels Modelling Bench I don’t always agree with his methods but by & large there’s a wealth of knowledge & knowhow on his channel

                Stage 2
                This time we’re attaching the transmission section to the main engine block adding the exhaust and the rocker covers oh and a pulley mechanism for the fan
                So 1st up is to attach the transmission section to the main engine block. This is done with two screws to bolt the engine block to the transmission. Then the two sides of the engine block are joined together and secured with two more screws to form the engine block The resulting join down the middle of the engine block was filled using CA glue. It’s not only filled the gap but also made it nice and secure as well as relying on just the screws
                Next comes the exhaust systems this involves adding three separate pieces to each side before gluing them into place on the bottom of the engine block. Well that’s what supposed to happen what actually happened was none of the pipes would lineup with the holes without a load of grief and as a final measure, I had to cut one of the pipes to get it to fit The resulting gaps and joints will now have to be filled sanded and painted. I don’t know if this was my problem or Pochers but one way or the other those exhaust would not fit as indicated by the instructions.
                The last piece for stage two was to add the rocker covers to the side of the engine block. This is basically three pieces joined together and then glued onto the engine block so now we’re ready for stage three.                   When I last left you we were just coming up for the end of stage two and starting stage three or stage three is a long process at least three separate sections to it. I’ve now completed two of them first off. I’ve added the, I’m not sure what Nigel called them I think they are throttle covers or something like that and as supplied by the kit they were just plain gun metal well I’ve done what Nigel did and painted them because I think they look a lot better.
                  I also painted the fan drive pulley and replace the plastic black tubing with fibreglass woven sleeve which looks a lot more realistic, especially after it’s been painted and the final section I’ve done was the distributors that was a pain the tubing they’ve supplied is utterly useless so I’ve done what Nigel did. I’ve got some single stranded copper wire with a red PVC coating on it and use that instead this is a long drawn out process. you had to get each length of wire the same as the instructions and then find out that the instructions are wrong and they need to be longer so I’ve added 10mm to each of my lengths Click image for larger version  Name:	IMG_2850.png Views:	0 Size:	411.2 KB ID:	1246248 hopefully that will suffice. The next stage will be fitting the distributors onto the engine along with the throttle linkage system and the exhaust pipes and that should finish the engine.

                          as I stated earlier I’m not using the supplied tubes as they are in my opinion and Nigel’s useless so I’m doing the same as Nige and using GPO phone cable .7mm
                          This has two advantages one is the correct scale and two as it’s a wire and not a tube it will stay where you bend it. You’ve had to add little rubber tubes to the side of the engine for the plug-in too but other than that I think it’s a better option. I can’t do what Nigel did which is a drill out the top of the distributor so that the cables could push through and I had a disaster with that so all my leads I’ve superglued the tops of each pin and use the superglue as the plug cap basically then painted it black to resemble the rubber cap hopefully they’ll stay on if they don’t we’ll have to glue them on again

                              Next comes a throttle linkage and then we gotta start building the space frame with which the engine that fits into
