    Bmw - z1 by boatman

    HI GUYS well ive made a start on that car an TBH my heart is not in it but i will try an push on to build it an TBH there are more parts to it than i thought an this is the first car ive ever built as far as i can remember in all my building yrs so i may make a few mistakes so please just bear with me an now some pics of the kit Click image for larger version

        Looks like it comes with a rear screen, so is there an option for a "top up" version?

          HI Peter yes there is but i think im goin to have it open as looks more sporty

            Even if it is your first car I'm sure you have all the skills needed to make a great job of it.

              Its just a box of styrene like every other kit......just think of it as a plane without wings........just cos its something different dont let it intimidate you

              This is quite a basic car kit so just enjoy it

                  A change of pace and topic for you Chris. I have only built one model car, and I enjoyed it very much. I am sure you will enjoy your BMW build

                    Don't worry Chris, I have built a couple of cars and quite enjoyed the process, tbh the hardest part for me was getting a nice paint finish.
                    Strength isn't about what you can do, rather it's about overcoming what you thought you couldn't do.

                      HI Joe yes it is a different type of kit that im used to an not happy doin it but only kit ive got till i can get to hannants an get two big kits that i do like to build so as the sayin goes Any port in a storm for me at the moment

                        Nice one Chris. Knowing how much you love to dabble with electronics in your models are we going to see some LED headlights etc.

                            HI GUYS no sorry im not goin to bother to fit exspensive 2mm leds in this car as its not really my thing an when i build it an jen was sayin present it back to SootySue who bought it for me for xmas an she can have it in her bed room or home so she will think of jen an i when we are gone as gettin old now so it will be nice to be thought of

                              AN HI Garry yes i was worryied about the paint finish due to sprayin in this cold wheather even in my model room so stuck the C/H on for 3 hrs to warm the room up an i think i got a reasonable finish on the paint finish so see how it looks when finished
